Revision process
Week 6 of Writing 37 focused on revising the Genre Analysis is essay based on the individual conferences with the professor, grading sample GA essays based on the rubric, peer review and the self-review- Power of Process connect assignment.
The feedback I received from my professor during the individual conference included integrating my hook into the introduction, indenting first line of each paragraphs according to MLA formatting, making a reference to the women as majority audience, developing my topic sentences as claims, briefly describing genre conventions of elegy and memoir in introduction ,organizing my paragraphs according to each convention separately, connecting audience to the analysis in each paragraph and developing a conclusion.
The feedback I received from my peers was to include more analysis for the quotes from the original text that I used as evidence and use different transition words between sentences for a more cohesive feeling.

By visiting the reading strategies in the order given above , I was able to review my essay in an organized and systematic way allowing me to focus closely on each part . The 3 priorities for revision helped me write down the most important things I need to revise so that I don’t forget them. I will look closely at topic sentences and analyze their organization the next time I read a text .
